2013 Indie/Small Press Reading Challenge

Last year I had so much fun reading some truly amazing Indie books, that I’ve decided to incorporate them in my 2013 reading challenge. This year I have challenged myself to read 75 books, 50 of which will be Indie/Small Press.

2013 Reading Challenge

2013 Reading Challenge
Ashley has
read 1 book toward her goal of 75 books.

I was so excited to get started that I hit up all my favorite online bookstores in search for some of my favorites and some ‘new to me’ indie authors, and I think I may have gotten a bit carried away.  In the last few days I’ve picked up 23 of the needed 50 books. Check out the below list to see all the awesome books!

But I didn’t stop there. Since I also need another 25 books to meet my overall reading challenge, I went to Chapters and picked up a stack of my favorite traditionally published authors. Thank goodness my mother-in-law gave me a Chapters gift card for Christmas, because I think that I have just spent a small fortune on books.

Have you set your reading challenge for the year?   If you have, best of luck with your challenge!

    1. I know, it's so awesome. I don't think I have ever purchased this many books at once before. I keep sifting through them all on my iPad, looking at the great covers. I'm so excited to get started. :)

  2. I just wanted to say good luck with your challenge! I boosted my challenge up this time to 50, I can't wait to get started! :)

PS: I am going to check out the books you picked up, they all look awesome!

  3. These look good. I'll have to check some of them out for myself. Thanks Ashley!!!

    1. I hope you find some you like from the list. I'm looking forward to reading them all and I just can't decide which one to start with. :)
